Ryan was 13 when Hotchner adopted him. It was a long, tough road to getting where they were. Then, at 16, Ryan was SA'd by one of his teachers. Due to being transgender, he became pregnant. Fearing that Hotchner would kick him out, send him back to the systme, or just flat out kill him, he ran away with Lightning [his service bird], and ended up in Vintuo where he had his son, Koi Hotchner.
